Bugatti’s Veyron Grand Sport despite its monstrous output might still be missing something from its 8.0L 16 cylinder quad-turbocharged powerplant which gives out 1,0001 horsepower and a torque of 922 pound-feet for some.
Finally the open top version of the Super Sports Veyron 16.4 is rolling out under the tag Grand Sport Vitesse. The new baby from Bugatti will be unwrapped during the motor show in Geneva this March.
The Bugatti Veyron Vitesse carries a tweaked version of the W16 engine linked equipped with four big turbochargers and setup with intercoolers just like the Super Sport version of the Veyron that can deliver 1,200 horsepower and a torque of 1,106 pound feet.
In order to handle the power of the engine, the design team of Bugatti also made modifications to the chassis of the Grand Sport.
During a recent interview of Wolfgang Durheimer, Bugatti President, he shared that the market response to the Super Sport motivated the firm to up the ante fo the Bugatti roadster. Engineers poured in their efforts and talent to push the brand to redefine the limits of automotive.
Durheimer added that the best features of the Super Sport was successfully transferred to the Grand Sport to make the open-top high speed driving experience very extra ordinary.
The supercar manufacturer based in Mosheim, France has not yet released information with regard to the top speed and acceleration of the Vitesse.
